1) PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. The Windows Live Messenger for Mobile Pop Trivia Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00:01 a.m. (PT) on November 15, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on December 26, 2008 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Daily winners will be selected in a series of random drawings from among all eligible entries received each day of the Sweepstakes Period.
2) ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older who are registered Windows Live Hotmail users. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Microsoft Corporation and its respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and promotional agencies; anyone working directly on Microsoft programs; and the immediate family members (parent, child, spouse, and sibling) and persons living in the households of each are not eligible to enter.
3) HOW TO ENTER: If you do not have a Windows Live Hotmail Messenger account, you will need to obtain one to enter the Sweepstakes. There is no cost or obligation to obtain a Windows Live Hotmail Messenger account. To obtain a free Windows Live Hotmail Messenger account visit http://get.live.com/WL/config_all
To enter, correctly answer the trivia question sent from poptriviamc@live.com through Windows Live Messenger with the letter corresponding to the correct answer to the trivia question. If you answer the trivia question correctly, you will receive one entry into the drawing for that day and will be offered the opportunity to answer another question. If you answer the question incorrectly, your play session will end. You will receive up to 5 questions per day. You must answer the trivia questions correctly in order to be eligible for entry into the sweepstakes.
To enter via your mobile phone or personal computer:
A) Log in to WL Messenger for Mobile and sign in with your Windows Live ID or Hotmail account. Go to www.gowindowslive.com/mobilepoptrivia and click on the launch messenger and add contact button to add Mobile Pop Trivia Agent (poptriviamc@live.com) to WL Messenger contacts.
B) You will be sent a double opt-in message asking for verification of permission to initiate conversation.
C) Locate a client application on your phone or go to mobilemsn.com on your media browser, choose windows live messenger, log in and say "hi" to poptriviamc@live.com.
D) You will be sent an e-mail trivia question when logged in to WL Messenger. Send a reply to the e-mail to with the letter corresponding to the correct answer to the trivia question for the current drawing date in the subject line. If question is answered correctly, receive one entry into the drawing for that day and you will be sent a reply with the opportunity to answer another question. If you answer the question incorrectly, your play session will end. You will receive up to 5 questions per day. Limit: one play session per person/e-mail address per day. You must answer the trivia questions correctly in order to be eligible for entry into the sweepstakes. If playing via your Mobile phone, standard data charges apply.
Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) each day to be eligible. Limit: one play session (and 5 entries) per person/e-mail address per day by both methods of entry combined. Multiple e-mail address accounts used for entry by a single entrant will not qualify for entry.
4) DAILY DRAWINGS: For each day of the Sweepstakes Period, one (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received each day. The drawing will be conducted by an independent judging agency from among all eligible entries received between 12:00:00 a.m. (PT) and 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) each day. Judges decisions are final in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Non-winning daily entries will not "roll over" into subsequent daily drawings. The random drawings will be held under the supervision of Promotion Activators, Inc., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Drawings will be conducted within approximately seven days of each entry date.

Any applicable tax on a prize is the sole responsibility of the winner. Prizes will be awarded provided they are properly claimed, as described herein. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if prize is unavailable. No barter, transfer, substitution or assignment of prize permitted, except by Sponsor at its sole discretion in the event that the stated prize becomes unavailable. Prize is not redeemable for cash. Gift card prizes are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the issuer. Odds of winning a Sweepstakes prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for each drawing.
6) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sweepstakes entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. The laws of the United States govern this Sweepstakes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Potential winners will be notified via e-mail at the e-mail address provided and must respond with their street address, city, state, zip, and telephone number to be eligible to receive a prize. If a potential winner fails to respond to email notification within 5 days of notification date, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Up to six (6) alternate winners per prize will be selected. If any prize remains unclaimed after 6 attempts, the prize will not be awarded. Prizes will be shipped within ninety (90) days to the address provided above. Return of any prize as undeliverable may result in disqualification, in which case the prize will not be awarded. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner's name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Microsoft Corporation, its related companies, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, prize suppliers, employees and agents including iconmobile LLC and Promotion Activators, Inc. from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize won.
7) INTERNET: The use of any automated launching or entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the participant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
